Why is the statement “All Lives Matter” so offensive?

A while back Josh’s daughter posted that very statement on social media and the response was immediate and harsh.
On the surface it seems to make complete sense to her (and to him).  The conversation this week between Jerome and Josh goes right to the heart of the issue. Do they resolve it? Well you’ll just have to listen to find out.
Some of the other topics raised in this episode include:
  • Do you really have to support Black Lives Matter to support increased opportunity for African Americans?
  • Is racism a political issue that can be attributed to just the left or the right?
  • Why are caucasians so reluctant to engage in the racial discussion within their own peer group?
